The opening of Excelsior Springs School District's Cornerstone Elementary was celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony this morning. The new 76,000 square foot school will welcome its first round of students for the 2021-2022 school year. With features like a full-size competition gymnasium, STEM room and multiple collaboration spaces, the school will provide opportunities for program expansion and future-ready learning. Construction at the District's Early Childhood Center and Elkhorn Elementary are also underway and will open this fall.
